This part is compatible with all 13 3 macbooks excluding macbook unibody and macbook air. It took about 45 mins to get the new part in and the machine put back.

The part is the same for both the white and black macbooks. Remove the 3 screwa from the clutch cover. Remove display bezel like normal. It was a pretty easy repair following all of the steps.

I could see the picture but the screen would not brighten. Pry lose the clutch cover while the lid is open and then some more when it is closed to get it to pop off. This is the board that controls the backlight to the display and is usually the culprit of a dim display. This part is compatible with all 13 3 macbooks excluding macbook.
